Truly a hidden gem in the middle of town. I was in town for DirtyKanza and searching for an alternative to the fried, heavy foods of typical Midwest restaurants. When I found Pho BannLao, I knew I'd hit the jackpot. The food was absolutely amazing, exactly what I was looking for, and did not disappoint in any way.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough! -

Definitely recommend the crab Rangoon! Best in Emporia. Large portion sizes for a very reasonable price.

What can I say about this place? I mean, I'm a cook and alot of people has tried my food & has given me nothing but great feedbacks. So this place right here... RIGHT HERE... is where I give all my credits too. YES, this is my parent's restaurant. Where I got my skills and taste buds to perfect what I love to do now. So friends and other family members who think my food is great?? U have to try where I got it from and see why I still say my mother's cooking is still way better than mine. And if u ever do swing through, tell them that Jimmy sent ya!

Great food with very reasonable prices. I live in the Dallas area but am working near Emporia for the last and next several weeks. So glad to have found this restaurant. It's as good or better than all my haunts in TX.

Good pho, big bowls, lots of noodles and meat. Good broth with some complexity to it. Clean establishment, quick service and helpful, friendly staff. I'll definitely be back to explore the menu further. Glad that Emporia has a real noodle joint now. :-)
